Shirk micro arts grants applications open – 2019

So as we approach April, we are getting ready for the 2019 round of SHIRK Micro Arts Grants. The MAG fund was set up with the following objectives

Micro Grants average £250 and are one-time grants for support items like:

  • supplies
  • equipment or software
  • research
  • professional development*
  • marketing/promotional materials
  • other awesome stuff

Micro Grants are designed to fund the acquisition of new equipment or materials, support research, conferences and travel related to research, and help mitigate the cost of marketing and promotional materials directly related to an artist’s practice.  Micro Grants do not cover requests for rent or fixed expenses like phone bills, utilities or housing; or situations resulting from general indebtedness or lack of employment.

Applicants should be aware that this is a grant program, and that each application is considered on its merits within the criteria of the program. While we aim to assist to as many applicants as we can, submitting an application is not a guarantee of funding.

Please submit your application via the website and remember to confirm your proposal is compliant with the SHIRK Manifesto.
